My brother birthday

On Saturday it was my brother birthday. First we clean the house and then we cook. After that we go to PAK N Save to buy some food and drinks. Then we go and buy some give. Then we cook the food and set up the table. When it was getting dark we said to the people come in it starting now so they came in the wait for my nana. Then we sang a song Happy birthday to you happy birthday to you. Then I light up the candles and we said we wish you have a great birthday and a Happy New Year. After that he blow the candle and we said the pray and we said, “ Happy birthday.After a little while my brother said, “Who want some cake and we said, “Me. So we had some cake it was nice and yamma.

Christmas

On the Christmas day all my family are going to Tonga. For Christmas I want to have xbox1. Then I want a ipad. After that I pray to Jesus a happy birthday  and he feels happy. Then my dad cooks us pigs and chicken. When it is getting dark first we pray to Jesus and say a very happy birthday and then we eat. Then we pray when we go to bed. We are going to Tonga because my cousin is getting married.

My Christmas

Chicken farm

A male chicken is called rooster.  Female chickens are called hens, and the baby chicken is called chick. Their feathers keep the chicken warm.

Other chicken use their beak to eat. Chicken use their feet to walk, and the comb is a fleshy growth or crest. They looked different to one another.

An female lay eggs and sell they that the market. Then the framer cut the chicken up and make it to a meat. After that they sell them at the supermarket.

I like the cow because it give us milk to drink and butter to eat with bread. I like it when it was says  moo to me because it sounds funny.

Going to the Pools

On Friday I went to the pools. I went home and I asked my mum if I could go to the pools and she said, “Yes.” Then I went to get change into my swimming  clothes  and went off on my bike. Then I came back home to eat. After that I went back to the pools and I saw Zion and Hala. I said, “Come,  lets go to the pools.”  Later  on I went to the shop to get some fish and chips.  Then I went to the pools and we ate the fish and chips. After that we went for a swim and I was hot and I jumped into the pool and it was warm. When it was getting closing time the lady said, “ Get out. We are closing now.” So all the people had to get out. When I was going home I said, “That was cool!”

Going Fishing

On Saturday our family went fishing. First we put the bait on then chucked the line in the water. After a while I caught a fish. It was a snapper and it was big. Then my dad caught a fish and it was a snapper. It was the same as mine. After that I went for a swim and my cousin came too. We were doing bombs and my cousin told me to come in. I said, “No.” and my other cousin came at the back of me and he pushed me into the water. Then I ran after him and he fell on the ground. Me and my cousin were pushing him in the water and he was crying. Then my dad said, “No more!” and we said, “Ok.” Then me and my cousin were laughing. After that I saw my aunty she bought us K.F.C and we said, “Thank you.” When it was getting night  time we packed up our stuff and went home. I said to myself, “That was cool.”     

Firework Night

On Tuesday I let off some fireworks. First I did the “cascades” and the “big show.” It was loud and I got scared. Then I did the “boom box” and I got out the “roman candles.” I lit it up. Then it went into the bush and the bush caught on fire and my dad went to get the water to put it out. Then the roman candle went to my house and the house nearly went on fire and my dad went to make it go away. My sister and my brother were crying and I was scared that my house would be on fire. Then my dad said, “No more!” And we went to sleep.

Off Into Space

Hooray! I have won a writing competition to go into space. I went to tell my friends I had won a writing competition and was going into space. First I went to get my space suit and oxygen space mask. Then I went into the rocket. It looked cool. After that I was ready to blast off. Control said, “10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 blast off!” I was so happy going into space. When I was blasting to space I heard a funny noise. It was the rocket breaking apart. We were falling down from space. Then a scientist who was on the spaceship came to help fix the rocket and we were safe.  

At Ambury Farm

On Wednesday our Literacy Group went to Ambury Farm. First we went to see the cows getting milked. After that we went to the cows and we patted them and we had to guess what the cow’s names were. After that we went to see the pig. It was a Kuni Kuni and it was big. As we were going to see the pigs we saw pukekos in the rocks. After when we had seen the pukeko we went to the pigs.They were cute. After we  had seen the pigs we went to see the sheep. I felt the wool and it was oily. Then we saw a Turkeys it was making funny sound and I laughed at it. Soon when we were finished we went and saw the chickens and it said Do Not Chase The Chickens. When we went in I saw a colorful chicken it a cool chicken. After that we went and see the bull and it was the boss of it gate. When we were finished we went and had lunch. When we finished our lunch we went to see the rabbits. There were two and they was fighting in the cage. Then we went back to the van to go back to school. When we were going we saw horses and we fed them and we had to run after the van.

A mother playing with her child

One day there was a little boy who wanted to play with someone. He went into the forest and he saw a mother and a girl running around the trees. He said to the girl, “Can I play with you?”  and the girl said, “Yes.” After that the girl said, “ What is your name?” and the boy said, “My name is Billy.”  He asked the girl what her name was. She said, “Mele.” Billy said, “That is a nice name.” So Billy went home to get his airplane. He came back with his airplane and Mele and Billy and her mother ran around the trees and the house. Then Billy chucked his plane and it was flying around up in the sky. Then it was coming down. Billy ran to find his airplane and he found  it in the bushes and he was scared that it might be lost. When he came out of the forest the airplane was broken and he cried. Never  mind Mele’s father will fixed it.

Billy was very happy about that.

Horse Farm

One day a little boy called Arthur wanted to learn how to ride a horse. The next morning the little boy went to the farm and ask the farmer if he could teach him how to ride a horse. The farmer picked the horse for him to ride. It was a brown horse. After that the farmer said to the little boy, “I will show you how to ride a horse,”  Arthur said, “Thank you.” After a while the farmer show him how to ride it.They had so much fun riding the horse.

Cat up in the tree

Once a upon a time there was a girl who found a cat up in a tree.So she went to her house and she said to her dad, “ Can I use your ladder to get a cat down out of a tall tree. So her dad went to grab his ladder and went with her. After a while the girl and her dad came to get the cat. When the cat was coming down the girl was scared. She thought that the cat might fall out of the tree. She said to the cat, “I will name you Lorene and you can come home with me.”

Maui and the sun

This is about a sun that was moving too fast across the village and Maui caught the sun to teach him a lesson to slow down so the villagers were able to catch food and play.

The sweet porridge

There was a little girl who lived with her mother. One day the little girl went out into the forest to look for some berries to eat. The little girl saw an old woman walking with a kettle. The old woman give the little girl the kettle. When  the girl went with the kettle the old woman said, “This is how to make it start” you say , “ Cook kettle cook!’’ and say, “ Stop kettle stop!’’. So the little girl went home and said to her mother, “ The old woman gave me a magic kettle.’’ So the little girl and her mother said to the kettle, “Cook kettle cook!’’ and this is how to make it stop you have to say, “ Stop kettle stop!’’. So the little girl said to her mother, “ I am going to the forest. After that the mother was hungry and she put the kettle into the fire and she said, “ Cook kettle cook!’’. When the kettle was in the fire the kettle began to  bubble and boil. The mother was clapping her hands and laughing. The mother forgot the words how to stop it. So the mother ran out of the door and the porridge filled up the whole street. When the girl came back she knew what was happening and she said, “ Stop kettle stop!’’.  

Rona and the Moon

It was night. Marama the Moon was shining bright in the sky . The children couldn't sleep in their whare and they said, “ Rona can you get some water in the taha please?” Rona got up and went to look for the water in the spring . When Rona went looking Rona said, “ Marama come out of the cloud. Marama didn’t listen and Rona tripped over the ngaio tree. Rona got angry with Marama and told her you are a silly Moon. Marama got angry with Rona and she pulled Rona up to the Moon. Rona said, “ Marama, let me go.”  Marama pulled and pulled until the ngaio tree come off. When the ngaio tree came off Marama pulled Rona into the sky. Rona’s children called for her and she said,  “I’m up here.”  They looked up in the sky and they saw Rona holding the ngaio tree and the taha. Now Rona couldn’t get down to see her children.

One day Maui and his brothers were going fishing. But the sun were going to fast. Maui said, “ Let us go and make that sun go more slowly.” The brothers laughed. “We can’t make it go slowly.”  Maui said, “ Yes we can we will need to make flax ropes.” So Maui and his brother set off in the darkness. They went to look for the hole where the sun rises. After that they waited for the sun to come up. When the sun was coming up Maui said, “ Get ready.” And the brothers were ready.When the sun was up Maui said, “Go!” The brothers jumped out and they chucked the ropes over the sun.“ Don’t let go of it!” yelled Maui. Maui ran towards the sun and hit him. The sun said, “ Can you see I’m dying?” and Maui said, “ Let the ropes go.” The sun was moving slowly and Maui and his brothers had plenty of time to fish, hunt and eat their food.

Tulevai and the Sea

Every morning Tulevai went fishing for his mother. One day Tulevai went fishing in his canoe. A while he was fishing the sea said, “ Tulevai come in the sea and he said, “ No. Tulevai went fishing again and the sea said, “ Tulevai please can you build me a yellow shell house and Tulevai said, “ No. So the sea said to the wind, “ Can you help me?” and the wind said, “ What are you going to give me? A ship,whale and a feather. Then the wind blew the sea and Tulevai fell out of his canoe. The sea drowned Tulevai. The mother was sitting down on the sand and she was worried. She got up and pushed the sea and she saw Tulevai and he ran out of the sea. The sea was still looking for Tulevai.

Aladdin and the Magic Lamp

Long time ago there was a mother and a father. One day Aladdin’s father died because he was sick. A man turned up at the house. He was a magician. The magician saw the boy and he said to the boy, “I am your uncle.” So the magician took him for a long walk around. The magician wanted an old magic lamp. The magician gave him a magic ring and said to the boy, “Go down and get the lamp and bring it to me. The magician got angry because Aladdin wouldn't give him the ring so he shut the Aladdin in the cave.  Aladdin rubs the ring and the magician came out of the ring and  Aladdin said, “Can you take me home?”  Aladdin gave the lamp to his mother but she did not know that it was a magic lamp. So the genie came out and said, “What do you want to wish for?” and she said, “I want a palace and to be rich. And They Lived Happily Ever After.

Kelly Tarlton's

On Monday we went to Kelly Tarlton's. First we went into the bus to Kelly Tarlton's. Then we lined up in a line to walk to the crossing. We went to the park to play and we put our bags next to the rock. I went to play on the octopus ride and it was cool. After that  we went back to Kelly Tarlton’s. When we got there we went in and we saw  king penguins and gentoo penguins. They were swimming around in the water and they were swimming fast.After that the gentoo penguin came up to us. He was waddling. Next I put my hand in the Antarctic water it was very cold. Then we went to the next one and we saw some fish they were big and we saw a massive stingray. After that we went back to school.

Going to kally tarlons

On Monday we went to  kallytarltons. First we went to line up and we walk to the crossing line. when we went to the park to play. when we were Finnish playing we went insied to kallytarlons and we saw peugins swimming a around the ice.

In the weekend

On Saturday me and my family went on a picnic. First my brother and I went to the shop to buy some food for us. When  my brother and I came home my mum said, “Go and get  changed.” So when my brother was ready my mum said, “Let’s go to the beach”. When we got to the beach my dad went fishing and I went with him. We were on the rocks and I helped my dad set up the fishing rod. After that we put the bait on the hook we chuck the bait with the hook in the water. After a little while my dad caught a big snapper and my mum said woe that is a big snapper. My, dad said shell we cooked the fish over here and my mum said yes,” So we cook the fish and ate it was nice.

Stormy Weather

In the morning there was thunder and lightning. When I went to get changed I got scared of the thunder. When the thunder came our house was shaking. When I was ready I had some nutri grain for breakfast. When I had finished eating our house was shaking again. When I looked out my window the lightning flashed and I nearly got blind. When I was coming to school me and my little brother were getting wet. My sister was crying because we nearly got hit by the lightning.   

My Pet

My pet is a dog. Her name is Sheila. Sheila is a kind dog that looked after her puppy. Sheila can do tricks went I have something in my hand. Sheila have a kennel that she like sleeping in. Sheila likes  to play with her ball. When I have the ball I say to  sheila to roll over and she does.

The Hungry fox

Once upon a time there was a hungry fox. The fox was walking in the woods to looked for food. Soon the fox found some grapes up in the tree. The fox tried to get the grapes. He tried to jump high to get them. So the fox kept  jumping to get the grapes. Soon the fox jumped high enough and he caught the grapes and he ate them.  

Dinosaur in the Backyard

In the morning I saw a dinosaur in my backyard. The dinosaur was sad because it had no one to play with. When I had my breakfast I went out into the yard and asked him what had happen. The dinosaur said, “I have no one to play with.” I said, “I with played with you.” Me and the dinosaur played in the backyard. We were play hide and seek. When we were finished playing hide and seek we played tiggy and I was in. Soon it was night time I was going inside to have my sleep. So the dinosaur went to sleep under the big tree.

My cousin birthday

On Saturday it was my cousin’s birthday. First we set up some balloons and the food. Then we put the food on the bbq. After that me and my aunt went to GI to get the cake. Then we went to get the drinks at the shop.  We caught the taxi to go home. When we got home we went to set up the decorations and the food. It looked nice and beautiful. Then my papa came inside to say the prayer. After he was finished we went to have a feed and we played games. When I called out to my cousins to come inside and hit the pinata. Then we hit the pinata. I hit the pinata heaps and heaps of lollies came out. After that we went outside to play. Soon it was finished and I went to bed to have a sleep.             

Will.I.am 100,000 dollars

On Thursday our school went to the hall to see Will.I.Am. Will.I.Am is the famous guy in New Zealand. Will.I.Am give our school 100,000 dollars. Mr Burt was happy and I was jealous because I wait it. When Will.I.Am went I was so happy because it was my first time seeing him.

Hoildays

In the holidays my family went to the R.S.A to  perform  Cook Island dancing. First we got changed into our costumes. We were cold because we were outside .It took a long time as we waited for the songs to finish. When they were finished we went on stage and danced. After we were finished we went to eat and we had some ice cream cake it was nice. Later we went to pick a person to dance with. It was  around the world and I had to pick a girl. It was cool the man told all of us to get in the middle and dance. So we made a circle and danced. After that we went home and had some K.F.C. Me and my mum had a cup of tea.

Cupcakes Core Sampling

A little cat got stuck up in the tree

Once a upon time there was a little girl who saw a little cat stuck up in the tree. She said, “Come little cat. Come little cat.” But the cat didn’t come down so she called, “Help!  help! help! a little cat is stuck up in the tree.” So a fire engine came and the firemen said, “Do you need help?” And the little girl said, “Yes I do need help. So the firemen said, “How may  I help you little girl?” She said, “A little cat is stuck up in the tree.” So the firemen got out a ladder and got the cat down.     

Easter Holiday

    Easter Holiday by Semi Aho Marsters

Easter is the time when we remember that Jesus died. We have a holiday.

On Friday I had a barbecue with my family. Me and my Dad we went to Mad Butchers to buy some steak. After that we went home and cooked. Me and my brother helped my dad cook the steak. When we were finished we put the food onto the table. We said a prayer to God and Jesus . Dear God we wish we have a nice day and we have a fun day we said in Jesus name amen. Then we ate some food and gave some food to my brother at Otara it was some nice and I loved it.

Kate house was on fire

Kate woke up. She could smell smoke. She opened her bedroom door. The kitchen was on fire! Kate ran outside to call  111. The person said, “Do you want Police, Ambulance or Fire Engine.” Kate said, “Fire Engine.” And they said, “Okay.” Then the Fire Engine came. They tried to put out the fire. Kate went to her friend’s  for a little while. When the Fire Engine was putting out the fire they went to get some help. When they put the fire out the house was burnt. They built a new house for Kate and her family. Kate said that the new house looked beautiful and they said, “It was all in a days work.”

The camp

On Wednesday we went to camp.Our team went kayaking.We went to put our togs on to kayak.When we went down the beach Mr Burt told us how to kayak.He told us how to get into the kayak.It is foot, bum and then the other foot. After that Mr Burt said, ‘Who wants to go in a kayak? and I said, “I do.” So Mr Burt picked me and I was kayaking. It was so cool. Then Mr Burt said, “Who wants to go on Mr Molloy’s boat?” and I said, “Me.” Mr Burt picked me and I had so much fun.  Me and Mr Molloy were bumping people off the kayaks. It was the best day of my life.

Year 5 and year 6 camp

In the morning we first got changed into our swimming tog’s. First we went down to the beach to have a nice kayak.It was so much fun and we went to have a swim afterwards.After our swim we went back to school to have our lunch.After that we went into room 17 to right about what we did at camp so far.After our writing we can go to have our lunch and after our lunch we have to go down to the bottom field. When we get down to the bottom field we have to sit up in our line and get ready for our next activity.

After school on Friday I went home and got changed. I went to GI with my sister and my mum. We went to practise the cook island dancing. It was kids safety day.  When it was finished  we went home and had dinner.  It was kfc. I like kfc. It is my favourite meal. My mum and I had a cup of tea. It was nice. After that I went to bed. On Sunday I watched Zombieland. It was cool I watched with my cousin. We were so happy and we went to have some waterlemon. It was nice. My mum went to the shop and bought some ice cream. It tasted yummy and I was so happy. It was the best day of my life.

On Friday

On Friday Pt.England went to have a picnic at the beach.First I went to  play softball and then t ball.Then team 1 went swimming and I was playing handball it was cool.After that I went to play t ball again and we had to hit the ball over the toilet roof  and I hit the ball onto the roof and I was the winner.Then team 3 and 4 went swimming. I was doing bombs. It was so much fun and I went to karaoke. I had so much fun at the picnic.
